The Believers Identity is the sermon TitleWhen you have the time listen to this podcast. You can also download it to your Ipod or mp3. It is a sermon preached from 1 Peter 2":4-10 . The sermon notes are below. Compare them to your pastors notes.
Meanwhile let me ask a few questions?
Can you ask your pastor for his notes?
Or should I ask, does your pastor even have notes?
Does he preach long enough to need notes?
Does he often read a single scripture then ramble on about unrelated topics.
Can all his notes be taped to front inside of his bible?
Many pastors will tell you they don’t need notes because they get their sermon directly from the Holy Spirit. Therefore there is no need to study. What a whack excuse for laziness. Did you know that the average pastor spends only 2 hours or less a week in sermon preparation? That is insulting!!
The young man who teaches our Sunday School spends at least 4 hours for a Sunday school class! A well prepared sermon can take upwards of 25 hours. I recently asked several seminary trained scholars this very question. How long? The answers ranged from 20-35 hrs. That is a serious difference from 2 hours.
Take the time to check out these notes from this sermon by a local pastor in Orlando Florida. How much time do you think he spent preparing the meal for the flock. No fast food up in here!!!
Look at the detail and depth.
